Position: Property & Deed Registration Advocate
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Property & Deed Registration Advocate to join our legal team. As an advocate specializing in property and deed registration, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and representation to clients in matters related to property transactions, title transfers, and registration of deeds.
Responsibilities:
1. Advise clients on property laws, regulations, and procedures related to registration, transfer of title, and other property-related issues.
2. Draft and review legal documents such as sale agreements, lease agreements, mortgage documents, and other contracts related to property transactions.
3. Conduct due diligence on properties to ensure their legal compliance and identify any potential risks or issues.
4. Prepare and file necessary applications, forms, and documents for property registration with the appropriate government authorities.
5. Represent clients in court proceedings related to property disputes or challenges to the validity of deeds.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients involved in property disputes or disagreements.
7. Stay updated with changes in property laws and regulations to provide accurate advice to clients.
8. Maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive information with utmost professionalism.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a practicing advocate specializing in property law and deed registration.
3. In-depth knowledge of property laws, regulations, and procedures related to registration of deeds.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
5. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to clearly explain legal concepts to clients.
6. Proven track record of successfully handling property-related cases or transactions.
7. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
8. High ethical standards with a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and client confidentiality.
